FAQ
How does Screen Time monitoring work?
AccountabilityPartner uses Apple's FamilyControls framework. You choose which apps to monitor and set a daily time limit. When you reach that limit, those apps are locked behind a screen that asks whether you want to stay or close. If you stay, your circle is told (not which app). Screen Time is optional - you can skip it during setup and turn it on later in Settings. We never see what you do inside apps.
Can my circle see which apps I use?
No. Your circle only sees that you reached your limit or unlocked, not which specific app. If you choose to stay on an app, they will see the reason you provide.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including goals, check-ins, and circle memberships.
Is AI required?
No. AI suggestions (breaking a goal into steps, reminder lines) are optional and off until you allow them. You can set goals entirely by hand, and turn AI off any time in Settings → AI suggestions.
How do I leave a circle?
Open the circle from the Circles tab, tap the … menu, and choose Leave circle. Your circle is told that you left.
The app isn't monitoring my Screen Time.
Make sure you granted Screen Time access during setup. You can check in iOS Settings > Screen Time. If issues persist, try toggling the permission off and on, then reselect your apps in AccountabilityPartner Settings.
How do I report something or block someone?
Long-press any item in Activity and choose "Report or block", or open the person in a circle and tap "Report or block". We review every report within 24 hours. Blocking is immediate and works both ways; the person isn't told. Manage blocked people in Settings → Blocked people. See our
Community Guidelines.
Why was I asked to sign in with Apple when deleting my account?
So we can also revoke the app's access to your Apple ID. If deletion doesn't complete, nothing is removed and the app tells you - try again or email us.
